Q1. I have applied for NTHU admission through Office of Global Affairs, am I automatically considered for NTHU International Student Scholarship?
No, you are not. While you are applying for the admission online through the Office of Global Affairs, you would have to mark the selection for scholarship application during the on-line application procedure.
Q2. How do I check my application status?
You are able to check your application status on the scholarship application system.
Q3. Have my referees finish the recommendation letters?
Check your recommendation letter status through the scholarship application system. Click on the resend button to send another reminder email to your referee.
Q4. My referee has not yet received the notification email for my scholarship recommendation. What should I do?
Please ask your referee to check the spam and junk mail folders. The email subject is “National Tsing Hua University Letter of Recommendation Request.”
Q5. I have submitted my application online. Do I need to send in a hard copy?
No. You no longer required to send the materials by mail.
Q6. When will I know if I have been awarded a scholarship?
The scholarship results will be announced on the homepage, scholarship news column of Center for Continuing Education website. Students who have been chosen for a scholarship will be notified by email as well. Award announcements are usually made 2 months after the application deadline.
If you are not on the list, you have unfortunately not been offered a scholarship. Applicants who are not offered a scholarship will not be notified individually.
Q7. I would like to know if there are any other scholarship opportunities, where can I find related information?
Visit the scholarship page on Office of Global Affairs for the list of scholarships.
Q8. If I am awarded a scholarship and defer my offer, can I also defer my scholarship?
No. You will not be able to defer your scholarship. You should apply again for our scholarships the following year and will need to have a confirmed offer for the new scholarship year. You should contact the Admissions Office to ensure you can defer your admission offer and have it confirmed. In the following year, please follow the deadline for the current students for scholarship application.
